I didn't want to try to draw a picture of this gizmo.  I'll just describe it in words.

It's a special drill chuck for your electric drill.  It has a little marker built into the end of it.  When you drill a hole in something, and the end of the chuck comes into contact with the material in which you drilled the hole, the marker draws a circle around the hole.  The hole will, of course, be exactly in the center of the circle.

Then, you puff out your chest, point, and in your deepest and most manly voice, say, "Lookie thar!  Plumb smack-dab in tha middle!  Ever time!"

Your wife or girlfriend will say, "Wow!"

If she's from the South, then she'll clap her hands in delight and say, "Ah swannie, dahlin!  Ah do declayah!"
